Kimi Work is a Windows/Mac client released by Moonshot in June 2026. It is not simply a Kimi desktop shell, but a 'universal local Agent' designed for knowledge workers. Its core consists of Kimi K2.5 + professional data from sources like Flush (同花顺), Tianyancha (天眼查), and Qichacha (企查查) + the WebBridge browser control solution + an Agent cluster.
Moonshot has made a clear distinction in product positioning — 'it is not a Chinese version of Codex.' It generalizes the capabilities of a coding Agent to general office tasks: writing reports, conducting research, organizing spreadsheets, operating browsers, and handling tasks across multiple local files. Moonshot calls this usage 'Vibe Working' — echoing Karpathy's 'Vibe Coding' concept from last year.

Kimi Work is suitable for three types of users: professional knowledge workers in finance, law, and academia (where professional data integration is a killer feature); mid-sized enterprises that are sensitive about data and prefer not to use cloud-based Agents; and those who have used Cursor/Claude Code and want to extend the 'conversation-as-work' experience to general office tasks. If you only write daily emails or do small research tasks, the regular Kimi Web version is sufficient; if you heavily rely on overseas data sources (Bloomberg, Crunchbase), WebBridge may still have coverage gaps.
