Overview
ima Copilot is an AI knowledge work companion developed by Tencent, fully launched on May 25, 2026 (with over 100,000 people on the waiting list prior). It integrates three modules: AI Q&A Copilot, Knowledge Square, and Skill Market, positioning itself as a one-stop knowledge tool that 'helps you read, think, and do'. The first batch of Skills includes WeChat Reading, Tencent Recruitment, etc.
Starting June 24, 2026, multiple third-party flagship models have been integrated: The Copilot now includes GLM-5.2 (fully integrated on the day of Zhipu's release on June 17, replacing the previous GLM-5.1), Kimi-K2.7 Code, and MiniMax-M3 for users to freely switch. The homepage dialogue of 'Ask ima' has also been upgraded to GLM-5.2. As of June 22, the ima client has been iterated to version 2.5.6 (PC/Mobile synchronized).
The client has since moved to version 2.6.11 (2026-09-21), bringing conversation history search, common note keyboard shortcuts on desktop, and copilot task sharing. The 2.6.x framework upgrade rebuilt the desktop sidebar into five modules, unified the Ask ima and copilot entries, and added local HTML parsing plus official PDF and DOC skills. On 2026-09-22 the copilot task flow was upgraded so users can run a standalone image task or combine image generation into a complex task, with PDF, Word and web deliverables carrying text and images together; the capability was co-designed with Tencent Hunyuan's Hy Image 3.5 preview. On 2026-09-30 a batch of Tencent ecosystem Skills was integrated, including medical Q&A, stock and financial data, news, WeChat Reading, campus recruiting, fact checking, Tencent Meeting, e-signature, weather and PDF tools, installable from the Discover section and invocable in conversation.
